When people utter compliments for the \u201cpoetry knack\u201d
\nThat You have given me, Lord, how should I react?
\nI know that I should never take all the credit for me;
\nAs a Christian, I bow to You my knee.
\nYet Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy:
\n\u201cElders who rule well deserve honor doubly.\u201d
\nFor if we see others doing Your will,
\nYour Word says \u201cDo not hold them still.\u201d
\nAnd \u201cA worker, of his wages, is worthy.\u201d
\nBut, though I may be, I wish only to bring You glory.
\nSo I pray, Lord, that as Your work I do,
\nI would seek only to honor You.
\nAnd, if I am honored, may humble I stay,
