Lord, You made me with a tongue so that I might use it to worship You;
\nAs a Christian, I am to speak only what is uplifting and true.
\nBut it\u2019s hard to do, when all around men are using their words perversely-
\nDemeaning their fellow people with their words, cursing and casting insults crudely.
\nBut Your Holy Spirit gives me the strength to resist doing what they cannot-
\nIn Christ, I have the freedom to do right in every action, word, and thought.
\nSo this I pray, oh Jesus my Lord and Savior, that, whatever You take me through,
\nEvery word that comes from my mouth would be glorifying to You.
\nJames chapter three was very apt in saying the tongue no man can tame.
