This was my final poem from high school; written in 2005, I wanted to express the end of one time in my life and preparations for a new one while holding on to the foundation of what it means to be a Christian.<\/p>\n
\u201cA Sold-out Soldier for Christ\u201d (#55)<\/p>\n
I have decided to follow Jesus, and I\u2019m girding myself for war.
\nI am now a soldier for Jesus Christ, who has for me opened up the door
\nTo eternal salvation. I\u2019ve grown and matured as I have followed Him
\nThrough snares and traps of the Devil, as well as toils and trials grim.
\nI have put on God\u2019s spiritual armor and I am ready for the fight,
\nNo matter what ahead awaits me-great battle or stands in corners tight.
\nI am willing to go wherever my Lord Jesus will send me;
\nI have given my whole life to Him, I have no other master but He.
\nHave given your whole life to Jesus-will you follow wherever He will go?
\nIf so, then go forth with all speed, but if not, pray and closer to Him get to know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
