from Australia.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\"  id=\"_ytid_65997\"  width=\"474\" height=\"267\"  data-origwidth=\"474\" data-origheight=\"267\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2ODGE2f7gLQ?enablejsapi=1&#038;autoplay=0&#038;cc_load_policy=0&#038;cc_lang_pref=&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;loop=0&#038;modestbranding=0&#038;rel=1&#038;fs=1&#038;playsinline=0&#038;autohide=2&#038;theme=dark&#038;color=red&#038;controls=1&#038;\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  epyt-is-override  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There was also the popular &#8220;smoke signals&#8221; method employed by Native Americans and the Chinese, who also used signal fires (as portrayed on the Great Wall in Walt Disney&#8217;s &#8220;Mulan&#8221;)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Smoke-Signals.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Smoke-Signals-218x300.jpg\" alt=\"Smoke Signals\" width=\"218\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Smoke-Signals-218x300.jpg 218w, https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Smoke-Signals.jpg 233w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 218px) 100vw, 218px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One last ancient method involves sound again; those capable of manufacturing them fashioned horns made of metal or bone, while a few cultures in Oceania utilized a conch shell for the same purpose.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Bone-horn.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Bone-horn-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Bone horn\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-519\" srcset=\"https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Bone-horn-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/danielgaul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Bone-horn.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These communication methods lasted through the ancient times all the way to the Renaissance;
